Alpha [1.9.0] detect failure

My problem with [1.4.2] crashing with an "unexpect problem" seems to be solved with Alpha 1.9.0 if I move all the images through the detection process as a batch and save without rendering, then file load them and batch pano render.

The problem occurs when some of the sets hang during the detection process and I have to force quit. (Mac  10.x)

The failure seems to occur when two or sometimes three images differ little in either position or exposure, but I am not sure the exact circumstances. I do know when a small set of images hang the alpha version, I can detect and process them using version 1.4.2. But then I run into the unexpected termination problem again.

I am saving files as 8 bit, one layer, PSD files. (I dropped from 16 bit to see if there were fewer hangs.

The alpha version does a better job of stitching.
