How would you land it when it appears you cannot see anything much forwards?

Well, first you need the MIG ![]()
Just a regular spherical pano, but close up. So you need a WA lens and closer focus than with a pano of the outdoors. And you need to make sure your NPP is exact.
If you use an 8mm lens, probably four around tilted 15 degrees up and optionally a vertex picture, and then remove the tripod and carefully place the camera and take the nadir shot.

The camera isn't at the correct eye level for the pilot, when you look behind, you aren't looking at the back of the head rest.
