Having a strange error where about half the images in my render were not used. Anyone have an idea why this would happen?

Particularly when posting about bugs, could you specify which version of APP you are using and with which operating system; conventionally, one puts something like [1.4.2 Win XP]

APP 1.4.2 x64 vista x64 16 gigs ram, 4tb temp directory.

This seems an error with networks drives. We found out that sometimes, our file reading routines doesn't handle well images on shared folder or network drives. This routines doesn't fail but should when it tries to read files : it only happens on network drives. Are the images sources on such a drive ? or the temp folder ?
If you can try, to put both on a local harddrive.

No, both the temp and source images are on local SATA RAIDs.
