Ring-style pano heads

There seem to be more and more Ring-style pano heads on the market - such as the Agno's RingT, the 360Precision Atome, the Bophoto pano bracket and the upcoming NN Ultimate ring-style  head from Nodal Ninja.

I have always been a little concened that these heads may place undue stress on lens barrels and lens mounts particularly with heavier DSLR bodies.

Does anyone here have any real world experience of any of these ring-style heads and their performance?
